From the center of studies Latin American Mario Benedettti of the University of Alicante we commemorate the date which meant the loss of one of the most universal writers and confirm our dedication to his memory that lingers in their literature.
We remember him with his last reading at the University of Alicante in 2005 with the poem "Autoepitafio"

Library of philosophy and letters presents an exhibition of the works of Julio Cortázar occupying very prominently in contemporary literature. Bibliographic displays will be visit on the second floor of the library from April 22 to May 3, 2013.
Convocatoria del Centro de Estudios Iberoamericanos Mario Benedetti
Los días 22 y 23 de abril tendrán lugar las Primeras Jornadas "50 años de Rayuela (1963-2013). Homenaje a Julio Cortázar" con la conferencia a cargo de Julio Ortega " Retrato de Julio Cortázar entre la tierra y el cielo: 50 años de Rayuela" y la Lectura pública de Rayuela, con acompañamiento musical.
Se inicia la conmemoración "50 años de Rayuela (1963-2013). Homenaje a Julio Cortázar", a través de la exposición de paneles con fragmentos de la obra -hito del boom de la narrativa latinoamericana de los años 60- en diversos edificios del campus.
El préstamo de los libros de la Biblioteca Mario Benedetti queda restringido a investigadores acreditados por el CEMAB.
Se seguirán prestando los libros de Mario Benedetti que se encuentran en la Biblioteca de FL-2ª planta (Biblioteca General)
