UA Professor in Organic Chemistry, Miguel Yus, the first Spanish prizewinner of the Portuguese-Spanish Award in Chemistry "Conferencia Lourenço-Madinaveitia"

The director of the University of Alicante's Institute of Organic Synthesis and Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Miguel Yus Astiz, has received further recognition of his work. On this occasion, Professor Yus has been awarded the Portuguese-Spanish Chemistry Award "Lourenço-Madinaveitia Conference" 2011.
The Portuguese-Spanish Chemistry Award is annually awarded by the Portuguese Chemistry Society and the Royal Spanish Chemistry Society with the aim of recognizing international scientific research performed by both Spanish and Portuguese chemists in any areas of the field of Chemistry. Miguel Yus is the first Spaniard who receives this award after being awarded to Professor José Caballero from the Portuguese University of Aveiro last year.
