Robert Alexy. Máster in juridical argumentation

Professor of public law and philosophy of the law of the University Christian-Albrechts Kiel, Germany. He was born on September 9, 1945 in Oldenburg (Germany) in the summer of 1968 he began to study law and philosophy at the Georg-August University of Göttingen. The specialty of philosophy her studied especially with Günther Patzig. In 1973, after the first State examination, he worked until 1976, in his doctoral thesis: "Legal argumentation theory". He did so with the support of the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes. For this work, first published in 1978, he received the award in the category of historical philology of the Academy of science of Göttingen. Since then and until 1984 he was Assistant of Ralf Dreier, the Chair of General theory of the right of Göttingen. In 1984 he enabled to a Chair in the specialties of public law and philosophy of law at the Law Faculty of the University of Göttingen. The theme of his habilitation thesis was: "Theory of fundamental rights". Since 1991 Joachim Jungius of Hamburg is a regular member of the society of Sciences and, from 1994 to 1998, he was President of the German section of the International Association for philosophy of law and social philosophy. His contributions include: "Theory of legal argumentation", (1978) "Theory of fundamental rights" (1986). In 1992, published the book "the concept and the validity of the law". Alexy works have been translated into thirteen languages. She has taught courses and lectured at numerous universities in Europe and America
