Senior Technician (BAHIRA Project). Her research has focused on landscape ecology, the effects of changes in land use and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to the management, conservation and restoration of natural areas and biodiversity. She has collaborated on various projects on topics related to the distribution of endemic and threatened species and mapping of land cover and land use changes. His thesis deals with current applications of landscape ecology into the design of ecological corridors and lanscape networks planning.

He has participated in various research projects such as "Study on the flora and vegetation of the mountains of Els Plans and Renton (Alicante). Bases for preservation" or "scientific research applied to conservation of endangered species of flora Alicante Directive Habitats. " He has worked in the administration Valenciana management of endangered flora and European projects such as "Creating the network of micro-reserves in the Valencian Community," "Restoration of priority habitats" and "Valorisation of High Mountain Habitats priority." PhD in Biology from the University of Alicante with the thesis entitled "Ecological aspects and techniques of fuel (slash and controlled burning) in high risk bush fire dominated by Ulex parviflorus" . Her research as a senior researcher at the CEAM Foundation since 1992 and is Associate Professor of Ecology at the University of Alicante. His research focuses on the study of Mediterranean vegetation dynamics after forest fire ecology of species at high risk of fire and in the development of fuel removal techniques to reduce the risk of fire. He has participated in ten research projects in this area being a principal investigator in projects Fireman (recurrence of fires in Mediterranean ecosystems: implications for regressive or progressive successional trajectories in a global change scenario) and FIREMAP (Integrated Risk Analysis forest fires using remote sensing and geographic information systems). : Analysis of the vulnerability of ecosystems to fire. He has collaborated with governments in developing management plans and management to reduce the incidence of forest fires. Currently working with the Department of Interior for the characterization of vegetation types in relation to risk of fire and the fuel management techniques in firewall areas.

PhD in Geography (1997) and member of the research group MedSPai (Universitat d'Alacant) and researcher responsible for it since 2010. His main research interests concern the Mediterranean vegetable landscape changes due to changes of soil and land use applications such as colonization in abandoned fields, response of vegetation post-fire and, more recently, on distribution of rare flora, endemic or threatened (cacuminal vegetation in the Serra d'Aitana ) and thematic mapping of the physical environment, including those chorological mapping plant species (eg, Helianthemum caput- felis ) and uses and land cover and geomorphic hazards from a diachronic perspective.
