TITLE II. THE GOVERNMENT AND REPRESENTATION OF THE UNIVERSITY. CHAPTER V. Statute University of Alicante

The Council of Institute of research, governing body of the same, shall be integrated by:
a) all the educational and investigating personnel seconded doctor.
b) one or a representative of the Administration and services staff stationed in the Center.
c) one or a representative of the research training staff seconded.
d) one or a representative of the research staff doctor not linked to the research projects developed at the Institute.
e) one or a representative of the students enrolled in the official teachings of postgraduate, in his case, given by the Institute.
They correspond to the Council the same powers conferred by this Statute to the Council of State, with adaptations as may be required by the nature of the University research institutes and the present Statute.
They are applicable to the Council of University Research Institute forecasts laying points 2, 3 and 4 of article 88 and article 90 of the present Statute.

The Director or director of University Research Institute has the representation of this and exercises functions of direction and day-to-day management of the same.
The Institute Council shall elect the Director or director between faculty and research staff member doctor of the University Institute of research, with at least two recognized research sections. The election will be held with the same requirements and procedures listed in this Statute to the Director or head of Department.
The appointment of Director or director, according to the Council of Institute's proposal, corresponds to the Rector or rector. The internal regulations of each Institute shall determine the term of Office of the Director, which may not exceed four years, and will be possible consecutive re-election only once.
The Director or director of Institute may be removed by the Council of the same, and shall apply to these effects, as laid down in article 91 of the present Statute.
They shall apply to the Director or director of University Research Institute forecasts that set out in article 92 of the Statute to the Director or head of Department.
The appointment of Director or director, in the case of University Research Institute attached to the University of Alicante, is governed by provisions in the corresponding agreement on secondment.

The Rector or rector be appointed Deputy Director or Assistant Director, in his case, and Secretary or Secretary, on a proposal from the Director, between the personal member doctor of the University Institute of research serving full time.
The Assistant Director, Deputy Director and the Secretary or Secretary assume similar roles to those laid down in this Statute for the respective offices of the departments.
