Statute University of AlicanteStatute University of AlicanteThey are students of the University of Alicante all the people that cursen official educations in any of the three university cycles, educations of continuous training or other studies offered by the University.
The Social Council, well to own initiative or to proposal of the Council of Government and previous report of the Council of Universities, will approve the norms that regulate the progress and the permanence in the University of students, in accordance with the characteristics of the respective studies.
The alumnado of the University of Alicante, in his condition of such and in accordance with the nature of the respective educations, possesses the following rights:
a) Receive a suitable scientific education, technical and cultural.
b) The participation in the ordenación and programming of the educations, as well as in the control of his quality and of the educational work of the profesorado, in accordance with the timely procedure.
c) Be assisted during his training by means of an effective system of orientation and follow-up of transversal character of his degree, that complete the teaching like integral and critical training of the and the students and like preparation for the exercise of professional activities.
d) Receive an objective assessment of his academic performance, as well as exert the means of corresponding impugnation, according to the procedure established.
e) Know with sufficient antelación the educational plan of the matters or asignaturas in which it foresee to enrol and the dates of realisation of the proofs of evaluation.
f) The evaluation of his academic performance based in public criteria and aims and that will tend to the formative and continuous evaluation, understood like element of the process education-learning.
g) The enjoy of the economic helps and asistenciales established by the University and the planned by the law.
h) Receive information and advice on the organisation, content and exigencias of the distinct university studies and procedures of entry, as well as of the orientation and professional exits of such studies.
i) The promotion and the realisation of cultural activities, sportive, of representation estudiantil, solidarias and of cooperation, as I complement to the development of his university training.
j) The utilisation of suitable way of installations and other material elements of the University, with arrangement to the regulatory norms of use.
k) The protection of the Social Security in the terms and conditions that establish in the legal disposals.
l) The active and democratic participation, through his representatives, in the government and management of the University of Alicante, in the cases and planned form in this Statute and in the statutory disposals that develop it.
m) The freedom of expression, of meeting and of association in the university field.
n) The equality of opportunities, without discrimination any, in the access to the University, entry in the centres, permanence in the University and exercise of his academic rights.
o) An attention that facilitate to paginate the studies with the labour activity.
p) The use of the official tongue of his election in all his academic activities or extraacadémicas, without damage of the measures promoted to normalise the use of the Valencian and improve the knowledge of foreign tongues.
q) Express collectively his claims in the terms that establish the Statute of Students of the University of Alicante.
r) All those established in the valid legislation.
The alumnado of the University of Alicante has the following duties:
a) Fulfil the tasks of study and investigation that correspond them like university.
b) Observe the academic discipline and cooperate to the development of the university life.
c) Respect the principles of convivencia democratic in the breast of the university community.
d) Assume the responsibilities of the charges for which have been chosen.
e) Respect and do good use of the goods of the University.
f) Fulfil with the had in this Statute and in the other norms of the University.
g) All those established in the valid legislation.
To proposal of the Council of Students, the Council of Government will approve the Statute of Students of the University of Alicante, in which they will develop the rights and duties contemplated in the present chapter and will establish the necessary guarantees for the suitable exercise of the rights, in the frame of the valid legislation.
The Council of Students will be able to establish sectorial organs of representation of students with the object to pipe the participation of the alumnado in subjects of university interest. These organs will have a regulation approved by the Council of Government, to proposal of the Council of Students.
