CALIDAD

The following activities have been undertaken by the Secretariat Quality with Unit Technical Quality during the 2007-2008 academic year.

1. Introducing systems for Internal Quality Assurance Center at the UA:

To promote continuous improvement of the degrees taught at the University of Alicante, was considered necessary to establish a system of Quality Assurance International (SGIC) of the University Centers.

These quality assurance systems should allow to analyze the deviations from the plan and á areas for improvement, making it possible to define and implement proposals for "continuous improvement" for the various curricula.

In this regard, and within the AUDIT ANECA have been designed in collaboration n with the management teams of the respective schools, SGIC of:

2. Improvement Plans and Service Letters, monitoring and compliance indicators in the various Departments of the AU:

Once evaluated, the methodology adapted from the EFQM model, the different services in the field of management of the AU, has launched a process of monitoring the fulfillment of the improvement actions, objectives and compliance with the indicators defined in the corresponding improvement plans, strategic plans and letters of .

3. Assessment Program's teaching faculty:

Along with the assessment of qualifications and assessment services, one of the fundamental pillars of improving the quality evaluation of university teaching, in this sense:

Teacher Survey. has continued to survey the students about the teaching received. During the academic year 2007-2008 has been carried out the survey, which is mandatory for all teachers of the AU.

(DOCENTIA) Procedure for assessing teaching. We have designed a new procedure for assessment of teaching at the UA, with the primary aim of achieving continuous improvement in the quality of its training programs, and consequently, the improvement in the professional development of teachers. This new procedure is part of the "DOCENTIA" of ANECA.

The information collected for this evaluation will be conducted , using the "virtual campus" through three sources:

Auto - Report of the teacher (there are three modes: initiation, senior consolidacióny as appropriate in each case)

Report Responsible academics (director of department and dean/c-director of center)

Inquiry Teaching students

These sources are supplemented by the evidence in the institutional databases.

4. Other assessments teachers:

5. Surveys:

Labor Survey of Graduates of the AU (2002-2007) : pretending to know how is the insertion into the labor market for graduates of the AU, as well as any aspect of the training program that could be improved further, in his view, once the graduate is now engaged in professional practice. Conducted among graduates of the UA from 2002 to 2007. With a total of 4562 surveys using probability sampling stratified by qualification. Satisfaction Survey of users of university services: aims to determine the degree of user satisfaction. Conducted among users of the various university services, according to the biannual programming planned for the whole of them.

Survey on Agenda XXI: aims to gather the views of different groups of interest to the AU in relation to sustainable development of the same. Conducted among members of different interest groups.

6. Implantacióny coordination of the development of SIUA:

In collaboration with the vice tecnologíae of educational innovation are being conducted for the following actions:
