The powers assumed by the Vice President for International Relations and Cooperation, on behalf of the Rector, are summarized in the following sections:
1.-promote the internationalization of the university.
2.-Coordinate the programs of both national and international mobility of students, faculty and administration personnel.
3 .- Promote the development cooperation and solidarity.
Both the objectives set by the Vice President, as the shares are set out by the AU Strategic Plan, adopted in Governing Council of 28 February 2007, and we have been developing during 2007/08, through the Sector Strategic Plan for Internationalization. This plan will draw the lines of work period between 2007-2012, aimed to consolidate and develop relationships with universities and research centers of excellence and participation in international programs and to ensure that cooperation activities of the AU have the desired impact in the economic and social development.
During this course, the Vice President has strengthened the organizational structure and coordination, promoting the creation of International Relations.
