In the Draft Resolution of the CIE-2011 Campus of International Excellence Programme, released today by the Ministry of Education, the Universities of Alicante and Miguel Hernandez of Elche wish to announce the following information: The great satisfaction with the selection of the Mediterranean Campus Project, that both universities have submitted to the mentioned call.
On 1st, 2nd and 3rd September, the University of Alicante will host the 14th Toulon-Verona Conference, organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences' Department of Economic Analysis. This international conference is a debate point among academics, researchers and professionals interested in developing and implementing management processes, quality and excellence in Higher Education, Public Administrations, Tourism, Financial Services, Healthcare and Logistics.

Hipólito Simón, lecturer at the University of Alicante's Department of Economic Analysis, has won the Lluis Fina Award for the best article on labour economics, published during the years 2009 and 2010. The prize aims at recognizing excellence in theoretical and applied research in the field of labour economics.
