  • The practical guide for the inclusion of the gender perspective into the contents of the research has been prepared within the framework of the complementary action of the National Plan of r & d "The gender dimension in the contents of the scientific and technical research". This guide provides methodological tools that are illustrated with examples of three different scientific areas: medicine and biotechnology; architecture and urban planning; and information and communication technologies.

  • Project of the 7th EU framework programme of the whose main objective is the realization of a comprehensive analysis of the research carried out in Europe during the past 30 years, on horizontal and vertical segregation in science, with the intention to carry out a series of recommendations at the political level and to define future lines of research in this case. The study includes all research on gender and science carried out between 1980 and 2008, in all European languages, in 33 countries: the 27 Member States, as well as 16 countries associated to the seventh framework programme (Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey).   "UNIVERSITY, EDUCATION, GENDER AND EQUALITY" NETWORK (Published on 22/12/2011)

  Equality Unit promotes the creation of the network "University, education, gender and equality" in the context of the call for networks 2012 of the Vice President for strategic planning and quality. This network, to which have acceded 44 teachers and professors in different areas of knowledge, is intended to promote the inclusion of the gender perspective in the teaching of degree, and start working on the design of specific subjects that contribute to the development of the criteria of equality between women and men in the different areas of knowledge. The network will be coordinated by María José Rodríguez Jaume.

  MANUAL "GENDER IN RESEARCH" (Published on 02/09/2011)

  • The unit of women and science of the Ministry of the Ministry of science and innovation has published the manual "Gender in research". This is the translation into the Spanish of the Handbook on gender and science developed by the European Commission, Directorate-General for research. It is intended to be a tool for facilitating the incorporation of the gender perspective as a category in the research and technology, as it calls the law of science and technology recently adopted.
