META-ANALYSIS ON RESEARCH IN GENDER AND SCIENCE. Project of the 7th EU framework programme of the whose main objective is the realization of a comprehensive analysis of the research carried out in Europe over the past 30 years, on horizontal and vertical segregation in science, with the intention to carry out a series of recommendations at the political level and define future lines of research in this case. The study includes all research on gender and science carried out between 1980 and 2008, in all European languages, in 33 countries: the 27 Member States, as well as 16 countries associated to the seventh framework programme (Croatia, Iceland, Israel, Norway, Switzerland, Turkey). Result of this study is also the database on gender and Science (GSC), on-line and free access, which contains more than 4,500 references of European academic publications on gender and science, carried out during the last three decades.
