La Secretaria Nacional de Educación Superior, Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (SENESCYT) of the Government of Ecuador has developed the Prometeo program which aims to promote scientific research through the incorporation of researchers from around the world on projects to be held in Ecuadorian centres that generate science and technology. Co-organised by the Group STS-261-UGR, the Department of education and University Planning (Xunta de Galicia) and the Spanish Foundation for science and technology (FECYT). The number of places is limited.

The Forum will take place in Santiago de Compostela from 12 to 15 June 2012.
