Call of the program of the Vice President for research, development and innovation for the promotion of R&D at the University of Alicante

This call aims to regulate the procedure for financial granting, in regime of publicity, objectivity and competitive and the different types of  economic support that integrate the office for the Vice President of research, development and innovation programme for the promotion of scientific research, technological development and innovation at the University of Alicante for 2015.

Two UA researchers participate in the publication " Spanish Inventory of traditional knowledge on biodiversity"

 

The book, funded by the Ministry of agriculture, food and environment, has reached more than 52.900 downloads in just over two months.

Two of the Ibero-American Centre for Biodiversity (CIBIO) and the Estación Biológica Torretes of the University of Alicante researchers, Segundo Ríos and Vanessa Martínez, have participated in the elaboration of the "Spanish inventory of traditional knowledge on biodiversity

XII INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON THE EVALUATION OF THE QUALITY OF RESEARCH AND HIGHER EDUCATION (FECIES)

The Forum aims to cover a range of specialized subjects according to the following objectives:

  • To learn about the new organization of University teaching.
  • Analyze and discuss on the selection of contract teachers and civil servant.
  • Meet and discuss the situation of the doctorate in Spain and the European Union
  • Update from the current situation of the process of European convergence in Spain and the European Union.
  • To learn about the various plans that have Spanish universities to promote research, the quality and the European convergence.
  • To learn the various tools to assess the quality of scientific research.

Summer Course: "Technology Watch: strategies and tools to innovate".

 

The University of Alicante launches the Summer Course “Technology Watch: strategies and tools to innovate”, as part of "Rafael Altamira 2015 Summer Courses”.

The course is coordinated by the Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer (OVTT ) and it is taking place from 7th to the 10th of July in the Campus of the University of Alicante (Spain).

The contents are organized in three thematic blocks with a strong practical nature, plus a specialized workshop in how technology watch can help to differentiate in R&D projects, within the Horizon 2020. This workshop is dedicated to the health sector and well-being, but feasible to be replicated for all sectors of activity.

The BBVA Foundation, in collaboration with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), announces the 8th call of the BBVA Foundation Frontiers of Knowledge Awards.

Prizes are endowed, in each of its categories, with €400,000, a diploma and an art symbol.

ACADEMIC MOBILITY PROGRAM SCIENCE WITHOUT BORDERS

The Brazil Government, through the academic mobility program Science without Borders (CsF) provides leading international scientists scholarships in Brazil for  research visitors to attract young talent.

The objective is to attract and stimulate the fixation in Brazil's of talented researchers abroad, Brazilian or foreign residents with outstanding scientific or technological production.
