Manuel Desantes y Aurelio Lopez-Tarruella van a participar en la Conferencia Internacional: "Propiedad Intelectual como herramienta para promover la innovación desde la Universidad: de la teoría a la práctica", que tendrá lugar en Panamá los días 7 y 8 julio 2011. La conferencia contará con la participación de representantes de universidades y oficinas de registro de derechos de propiedad intelectual e industrial de al menos 25 países de Latinoamérica y Europa, y organismos internacionales de gran relevancia, como la Organización Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual y la Oficina Europea de Patentes.
El Magister Lvcentinvs y el Ilustre Colegio Provincial de Abogados de Alicante han organizado "ITIP UPDATE 2011" los dias 3 y 7 de junio 2011. Intellectual Property and Information Technology Law is in continuous change. As a consequence of this, practitioners are obliged to constantly update their knowledge. This task is not easy due to the usual huge work load that they have to deal with in their daily routine. ITIP UPDATE aims to help practitioners on the continuing education. This year, ITIP UPDATE will consist on two one-day seminars focused on two particular topics. The first one (“Emerging Topics in Copyright Law” June 3rd) includes three conferences on particular aspects of copyright law and a round table to discuss the legal aspects of free open source software. The second (“Delitos informáticos”, June 7th) aims to provide practitioners a general approach to this category of crimes. Speakers for this second seminar include scholars, a legal practitioner, a representative from the Police and computer experts.

Durante los días 4 a 6 de mayo, Aurelio Lopez impartirá un seminario sobre Cross-border IP Litigation en el marco del Joint Degree Master Programme in Intellectual Property Law organized by SS. Cyril and Methodius University Iustinianus Primus Law Faculty in Skopje and the CEIPI
Del 8 al 10 de Abril 2011, los miembros del Grupo de investigación estarán involucrados en el XII EIPIN Meeting "New Trends in International Intellectual Property Protection" que tendrá lugar en la OAMI y en la Universidad de Alicante
El 7 de Abril de 2011, varios miembros del Grupo de Investigación estarán involucrados en la organización del VI Doctoral EIPIN Seminar, en el que participarán estudiantes de doctorado en propiedad intelectual de toda Europa.
El 11 de marzo tuvo lugar en Alicante el Workshop on International R&D and Technology Transfer Contracts – Negotiations, Intellectual Property Rights and Dispute Resolution, organizado por el Magister Lvcentinvs, el Centro de arbitraje y mediación de la OMPI y el Grupo español de la AIPPI.
