Korstanje, Manuel Montañes & Esteban A. Ramos, Virginia Rodríguez, Mª Rosario H. Sánchez and Antonio Alaminos, as well as a book review by Óscar Escribano. It also includes statistics for the year 2012 and the list of peer reviewers.

  In the context of the scientific quality standards, starting from this journal issue, authors' curriculum and contact info are included in each article instead of in a separate section. Furthermore, the journal website has been updated to make direct and clear the access to information on objectives, subject coverage, contact information, editing and publishing rules.

  In addition, continuing our efforts to adapt the journal to the best standards of scientific quality, we have introduced the following changes:

  • Restructuring of the website to increase the visibility of the organizational structure of the journal, cataloguing data, contact information and search tool.
  • Reorganization and expansion of the editorial team
  • Review and adaptation of the guidelines to authors, including the formats of peer evaluation and the declaration of originality.
  • Inclusion in this issue of the list of reviewers and statistics of the year 2011.

Phelan and Jorge Guardiola on the concept and measurement of Good Living, an article by Andreu Mir Gual on Identity and Postmodernity.

  Vol 5 #2 of the OBETS Journal now available (Published on 09/01/2011)

  A new issue of OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales is available. The articles of this number analyse the phenomenon of the circular migrations, wich includes measures that facilitate consistent mobility, enhance the creation of North-South networks and consider the migratory experience as an element of diffusion of the knowledge, economic growth and global social development.

  New format (Published on 30/06/2010)

   

  From the year 2010, OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales presents a new format and incorporates new features in a context of adaptation to the high standards of scientific quality. Some of the more destacables changes are:

  • New website, more accessible, with best use of metatags and RSS syndication.
  • New system of numbering, with annual volumes and semiannual issues.
  • Incorporation of bibliographic info at the beginning of each article and in each page of the articles.
  • Publication of dates of reception and acceptance of articles.
  • Best visibility of the procedure of reception and acceptance of original.
  • Quotation in the web and in each copy, of the aims, thematic and public coverage.
  • Inclusion, in the instructions to the authors, of the rules for formatting bibliographic references.
  • All the numbers of the journal are now accessible from RUA, Repositoriy of the University of Alicante, that fulfils with the metadata standard Dublin Core and with the OAI-PMH protocol, and that give users a powerful search engine by keywords, authors, titles or dates.
