Vol. 10 No. 1 of OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales (January-June 2015) is now available. This issue is the result of a comparative project involving two European Journal of Sociology: SocietàMutamentoPolitica in Italy and OBETS in Spain, and discusses the social, political and economic effects of the crisis in Spain and Italy.
For a next issue, OBETS is interested in receiving proposals focused on the analysis of the interrelations between communication processes, civil society and social change. Submissions should address questions such as the following:
- Communication and social change: epistemologies and indicators
- Discourses, representations and empowerment.
- Journalism, media and social change.
- Commercial communication and social change.
- Social mobilization and communication.
- Cyberactivism and social movements.
- Education and media.
- Transmedia narratives, artivism and social change.
Priority will be given to works that communicate results of original academic research and use the IMR&DC+B structure (introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusions, and updated bibliography).
Deadline for sending articles: November 1, 2015. Please include the text "CALL FOR PAPERS: COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL CHANGE" in the subject of your sending.

Vol. 9 N. 2 of OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales (July-december 2014) is now available. This issue features works by Cruz García et al, Vanesa Hervías, Denise Kasparian, Antonio Martín, María Isabel Punín, Juan Manuel Romero and Antonio Luís Hidalgo-Capitán. It also includes two books reviews by Eva Espinar and Maximiliano E. Korstanje. It also includes statistics for the year 2014.
Finally, starting from this number all articles include an extended abstract in English, in order to maximize the reach and dissemination of its contents.

We are proud to announce that, from July 2014, OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales has been accepted for inclusion in Scopus, the prestigious bibliographic database of abstracts and citations of scientific journals, published by Elsevier.
OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales has completed the process of assigning of a DOI number to all published articles. The DOI system, managed by the International DOI Foundation, provides a framework for persistent identification of electronic resources, managing intellectual content, management of metadata, etc.
Vol. 8 #2 of OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales (July-December 2013) is now available. This issue features works by Lluís Català, Enrique Eduardo Fernández, Sergio López and Carmen Pineda, Xavier Eric Michell, Andrea Pirni, Florencia Soraire and Luciana Trimano, as well as a book reviews by Eva Espinar and Ramón Vargas. The issue also includes 2013 statistics.
In the context of the scientific quality standards, this issue includes some improvements, among which we highlight the updated and improved website information or the inclusion of DOI in each article's bibliographic seal.
In order to follow the standards of scientific quality, starting with the next issue OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales will assign a DOI (Digital Object Identifier) to all published articles. In the same way, a DOI is being gradually assigned to articles already published in previous issues.

In the context of the scientific quality standards, starting from this journal issue, authors' curriculum and contact info are included in each article instead of in a separate section. Furthermore, the journal website has been updated to make direct and clear the access to information on objectives, subject coverage, contact information, editing and publishing rules.

A new issue of OBETS. Revista de Ciencias Sociales is available. The articles of this number analyse the phenomenon of the circular migrations, wich includes measures that facilitate consistent mobility, enhance the creation of North-South networks and consider the migratory experience as an element of diffusion of the knowledge, economic growth and global social development.
