General information

I did not receive a confirmation email, why?

Link to Webmail of the page of start of the UAAll confirmation emails and notification messages are sent to your UA account. You must access your WebMail account and check your emails.

Please note again that no emails are sent to your personal account (GMail, Hotmail, etc.), but to your UA account (@alu.ua.es for students, @ua.es for staff).

 

 

There are no available dates in the appointment calendar, what should I do?

If no available dates are shown in the calendar, it is because all available appointments for that period have already been assigned to other students. Please try again a few days later or contact us online to let us know you would like to arrange an appointment.

 

Curriculum adjustments

If I want to apply for a special student fee, should I apply for curriculum adjustments?

No. To be eligible for this fee, you must submit your disability certificate issued by a competent body at your centre’s admin office. You must also have a favourable report from the Student Support Centre.

To request the report, you can arrange an appointment with one of our technicians through the Student Support app on UACloud.

If I am in hospital and cannot attend an exam, should I apply for curriculum adjustments?

Adjustments do not apply to students unable to attend an exam due to death, hospitalisation, etc., and wishing to change their examination date, as they are not included in any of the groups listed in the regulations on adjustments.

According to Article 10 of the UA learning assessment regulations, these applications must be submitted in writing to the managing team of the relevant department sufficiently in advance except in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

The new date, which will be valid for all students of the subject, will be agreed between the department and the student.

If no agreement is reached as to whether the change is justified, the centre’s managing team will have the final say on it.

If I want to request a group change, what should I do?

Adjustments do not apply to students wishing to change groups due to timetable clashes. These requests will be directly managed by the centre where you are pursuing studies or by the course coordinator.

Where can I get further information?

Below is a general list of groups and services. For further information, see the regulations:

  • Members of the first group must contact the Student Support Centre (students with disabilities and specific needs for educational support).
  • Members of the second group must contact their centre’s secretary's office (elite or UA athletes, victims of gender violence, pregnant women or women undertaking an adoption or fostering process, students in charge of a child less than 3 years old or a dependent family member, people whose working hours are incompatible with the classes or students within a mobility programme, among other cases).

 

Emergency grants

To apply for emergency grants, first check out all relevant information at https://web.ua.es/en/cae/social-action/emergency-grants.html. Then, just go to the Student Support app on UACloud. Once there, go to the grant programme and follow the steps to arrange an appointment within the appointment calendar.
