Comienza en la UA el VI Congreso Español de Biogeografía con un marcado carácter interdisciplinar

Researchers of disciplines very diverse, as geógrafos, botanic, biologists, entomólogos, ecólogos, between others, pertinent of Spanish universities, Portuguese, British and Brazilian take part in the SAW Spanish Congress of Biogeography that is developing in the University of Alicante from today Tuesday 7 of September. The interdisciplinaridad of the meeting is one of the distinctive shots of the meeting. The experts go to go exposing the last derivative results of the use of methods and technical pointers for the study of the fauna and the flora. All this delivered in four thematic blocks: technicians in investigation biogeográfica, conservation and management of the species and of his habitats, biogeography of the Mediterranean mountains and biogeography of the coastal and marine means.
The rector of the University of Alicante, Ignacio Jiménez Raneda, the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the UA, Jorge Olcina, and the organisers of the SAW Spanish Congress of Biogeography, Juan Antonio Marco Molina and Ascensión Padilla, have inaugurated this morning the Congress, that is celebrating , and finaliza the Saturday 11 of September, in the Classroom Magna and the hall of the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the University of Alicante, building B.
The group of investigation Medspai of the University of Alicante, composed by personnel of the Department of Regional Geographic Analysis and Physical Geography of the UA, is the organiser of the Congress.
