The UA makes the payment of academic fees for 2013-2014 more flexible
Alicante, 2 August 2013
Students who continue their studies at the University of Alicante will be able to choose how they want to pay their university fees for the academic year 2013-2014. The UA has established three methods in order to make the payment. The first way is to pay fees in full in November.
Another option is to pay in two installments. In this case, credits from the first semester will be paid in November and those from the second semester at the end of January.
Finally there is a third method which allows students to split not only the payments, but the registration too. By doing so, in September students would only register in the credits of subjects that he/she will be doing in the first semester or during the whole course, or also register in subjects from the second semester that the student considers necessary. At the end of January, the student will be able to register for further subjects of the second semester. By using this third option, students will have three installments to pay: firstly for the first semester and 50% of the yearly subjects to be paid in November; secondly, subjects from the second semester and 50% of the yearly subjects to be paid at the end of January and then subjects, which a student registered in January, would be paid in March.
All students beginning their university studies should pay the first installment before the 5th August and this will not be able to be done by direct debit. The rest of the options are kept the same so students can continue with their studies.
Also, the University of Alicante has come to an agreement with a bank so students, who wish to split their payments into 9 monthly payments, can do so.
