The UA International Hockey Tournament will be held from 20 to 22 December with absolute men’s selections of Spain , Belgium and Holland

The International Hockey Tournament will start on Friday, 20 December, at 11:30 am, at the University of Alicante, with the participation of the senior national men’s teams from Spain, Belgium and Holland, a unique occasion to enjoy the best hockey level for free at the premises of the University of Alicante. The selections will face on 20, 21 and 22 December.
The Vice President for Culture, Sports and Language Policies, Carles Cortés, accompanied by the coaches of the participating teams, will officially open the tournament on the UA’s grass field where the matches will be played.
The selections from Spain and Belgium will play the first match on the 20th at 12 noon. On Saturday, the 21st will be the turn of Spain and Holland, also at 12 noon and Holland and Belgium will play the last match on Sunday, the 22nd at 3 pm.
The three participating teams held a place in the top six of the standings last Olympic Games in London, among which the silver medal of the Dutch national team was outstanding.
The Spanish and Dutch Olympic teams have been runners-up in 2008 and 2012 respectively, and the Belgian national team was the European silver medalist in 2013 .
The absolute selections of Holland and Belgium are currently training for the final phase of the Hockey World League to be held from 10 to 18 January in New Delhi.
