The University of Alicante and the Chamber of Commerce will develop joint actions to promote employment and entrepreneurship
Palomar and Garrigós sign an agreement on dissemination, training and research

In order to implement joint actions to promote employment and entrepreneurship, based on dissemination, training, research and transfer of technology and knowledge, the President of the University of Alicante, Manuel Palomar and the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Alicante, have signed a collaboration framework agreement this morning with which they will regulate their joint action. The signing ceremony took place at the UA President’s office and has also been attended by the UA Registrar, Aránzazu Calzada, and the Head of Communications at the Chamber of Commerce, Santiago Lumbreras.
During the meeting, the UA Prsident, Palomar, has recognized the importance of the agreement for both institutions and recalled the role of universities and the transfer of research results they carry out, as the engine of social progress and economic development. Both leaders have emphasized the relevance of keeping alive contact between knowledge and the business sector. They have also taken advantage of discussing the positioning of the economy of Alicante in international markets and the role the University of Alicante can play in this regard.
Following the signing ceremony of the framework agreement, both Palomar as Garrigós have highlighted the imminent signing of other specific agreements to implement training actions as soon as possible at the University venue in Alicante city.
