UA 'Mario Benedetti' Studies Centre devotes a week to Cecilia Eudade
The Mexican writer will give lectures and and present her latest book at the UA Campus and the venues in Alicante, Villena and and Alfaz del Pi

Mexican writer Cecilia Eudade, one of the most fresh and interesting voices of contemporary Latin American narrative, will play a leading role next week with a series of activities organised by the Mario Benedetti Latin American Studies Centre (CEMAB). Eudade will give lectures and present her latest book ‘En Primera Persona’ (Amargord Editions) at the UA Campus and at the venues in Alicante and Villena, at the Culture Club in Alfaz del Pi and at CEMAB’s own premises.
The lecture series will start on Wednesday, 12 November at 8.15 pm, at the City of Alicante venue, located at Calle Ramon y Cajal, 4. Cecilia Eudave will present her book En Primera Persona and then will be interviewed by UA Professor of American Literature, Carmen Alemany. On Thursday, 13 November, Eudade will give a lecture on the short narrative ("Los procesos de escritura de la brevedad: novela corta, cuentos e hiperbreves") at 10 am at the CEMAB premises (Faculty of Arts III) after which she will present her book. At the venue in L'Alfas del Pi (located in the town’s culture club premises), Eudade will present her book "En primera persona" again with the company of Professor Carmen Alemany, who will ask her some questions. Finally, the venue in Villena (located in the premises of the Miguel Hernandez Library) will host the last presentation.
