Alicante, 3 December 2015
For the second consecutive year, the University of Alicante's Undergraduate Degree in Chemistry (managed by the Faculty of Sciences) has been listed as one of the best 200 undergraduate degrees in the world by the prestigious Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), also known as the Shanghai Ranking.
Only 1% of the world's universities are included in this exclusive ranking, where undergraduate degrees in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science and economics are analysed. Also this year, the University of Alicante's Undergraduate Degree in Social Work was ranked first in the 15th edition of the Higher Education Ranking published by El Mundo newspaper, and another two UA courses reached its national top five for the first time: the Undergraduate Degree in Nursing (second position) and the Undergraduate Degree in English Studies.
On the other hand, Everis Foundation has ranked UA's undergraduate degrees in Law, Economics and Business Administration among the top three in Spain and awarded them average score 7.79. The University of Alicante's training offer within the field of Health and Welfare is listed fourth in this ranking, with average score 7.53.
