Alicante. Tuesday, 11 April 2017
On Friday, over 130 high schools in the province - some of them beyond the boundaries of the province of Alicante- participated in an information open day organised by the University of Alicante to disseminate its undergraduate degrees among these would-be university students.
The UA lecture building No. 1 hosted about 4,000 students - exactly 3,798 - who signed in to take part in a total of 40 open talks to provide comprehensive information on the UA undergraduate degrees, main features and student profiles. Attendees include high school students, secondary teachers, counsellors and heads of study among others.
Director of the Office for University Admissions and Career Guidance Mariola Molina stated that these open talks are intended for future University of Alicante students to be informed in advance and thus, convinced of and sure about their choice of study so that they can achieve greater success.
The talks were delivered by university lecturers and final-year students, which helped to clear doubts of future university students, mainly on the professional career involved in each degree, curriculum, optional subjects and traineeships.
With all the information at their disposal and many of their doubts resolved, these high school students and soon to be university students took the opportunity to save the visit to the University of Alicante forever at the photocall where they had available advertising flyers and brochures for the many study programmes offered by the University of Alicante.
