On Tuesday, 3,239 students sit the University of Alicante Admission test

On Tuesday, 6th June, 3, 239 students sit the University of Alicante Admission Test, which will also take place on 7 and 8 June 2017. As usual, and according to the registration data in recent years, women outnumber men with near 60% this year. Eleven panels will be examining the 1,925 women and the 1,314 men from all over the province. In June 2016, figures showed a final balance of 3,487 students enrolled, of which 1,979 were women and the rest 1,508 men. Two of the panels are located at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) Campus in Alcoy, Ferrándiz building. Whereas the other nine will be on the UA Campus of San Vicente del Raspeig. Panel number 1 to 5 can be found in the Lecture Building No. 1 and panels from 6 to 9 are located in Lecture Building No. 2.
The University Admission Test can be sit by students coming from upper secondary education and students from upper vocational education programmes. In the case of Upper Secondary Education, 3, 079 students have enrolled in the test, whereas vocational programmes contributes with 160 students.
The University Admission Test resit will take place on 4, 5 and 6 July, with exactly the same structure as the June test.
As usual, the first of the exams to be sat is on "Spanish language and literature II". The Admission Test is made up by a compulsory phase containing four common subjects: Spanish, Catalan, Foreign Language and History of Spain and the subject in the branch of knowledge chosen by the student in their secondary education studies. There will be 528 students who will choose to enrol in the voluntary phase, which will allow them to to improve their admission final mark.
The UA information leaflet on the Admission test begins by clarifying that the exams the students will sit for this test are similar to those they have already completed in their second year of high school studies.
