MUA participates in the celebrations of the 2018 International Museum Day
Workshops, gymkhanas, animations, spatial interventions, murals, guided tours, solidarity action "Technology free of conflict" by NGO ALBOAN and The Liverpool Band concert star in the celebrations of the International Museum Day

The University of Alicante Museum (MUA) joins the celebrations of the 2018 International Museum Day with several activities designed by the UA Museum Educational Area and the Faculty of Education from 18 to 20 May.
The theme proposed for this year by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) is: “Hyperconnected museums: New approaches, new publics”.
Following this topic, the MUA joins the celebrations with an attractive and extensive activity programme, which will begin on Friday 18 May with its own proposal "IMD Festival. Family Fun” (from 5 pm to 8 pm), which includes five activities: Drawing pen. Spatial intervention, where the UA Museum will welcome its visitors with an installation on the hall corridor so that everyone who wishes, can join it; Networks. Collective creation where the Agora windows will become a great mural; Short circuit. Animation games, a proposal that will be developed in the museum patio, where a circuit will be assembled in which different tests will have to be passed; Join the madness. Gymkhana, activity aimed at overcoming tests, which will allow touring some rooms of the museum in search of materials to reproduce a stolen work, and Connected in a global world. Solidarity action, a proposal that will allow us to become aware of the origin of the products we consume, the producers conditions and the consequences of these on the environment. Also, attendees can participate in a project on technology free of conflict by carried out by NGO ALBOAN, handing off their old mobiles.
On Saturday 19 May (from 10 am to 11 am and from 6 pm to 7 pm) a guided tour around the UA Museum exhibitions of contemporary art and archaeology will be offered. A workshop on “Connected Landscapes” (11 am to 12:30 pm) will be the second activity of the day, which is also connected to the collective exhibition on contemporary art EAC XVIII. Painting, drawing, colour, landscape and collage will be the ingredients of this activity. At 8.30 pm, you can enjoy the concert starring The Liverpool Band. Tribute to The Beatles.
On Sunday 20 May, the MUA will put an end to these celebrations with a workshop on "Creating our sweet spot" (from 11 am to 12:30 pm), by artist Bibiana Soledad, who will discuss the concept of a cooperative installation made out of a very sweet ingredient.
