Appointments of new chairs of the social councils of the Valencia Region's five public universities are approved by the regional government

This Friday, the Valencia Region Government has approved the appointment of Baleària CEO Adolfo Utor as new chair of the University of Alicante Social Council, as well as the appointments of the new chairs of the social councils of the other public universities in the region.
Baleària's CEO becomes the new UA Social Council chair after Francisco Gómez Andreu, who had held this position since 21 June 2013. As chair, Gómez Andreu, one of the founding partners of Grupo Marjal, has loyally served the institution, also providing stability during the years of the economic crisis.
Adolfo Utor (Alhucemas, 1961) is CEO and largest shareholder of the shipping company Baleària, founded in 1998 under his leadership. One of the most important companies specialising in the sea transport of passengers and cargo, Baleària also defines itself as a responsible corporate citizen, committed to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
