Around 300 people are taking up work at the University of Alicante
Alicante, Monday 18 May 2020
Around 300 people return to onsite work this morning at the University of Alicante San Vicente Campus. They are mainly staff for administrative and research procedures. Also the university laboratories resume their activities.
In view of the perspective of change of phase in the de-escalation, last 8 May, a decision by the University President was published with the new reincorporation measuresto work onsite and the Instructions for Labour Risk Prevention, IPRL-26 that enters in force in the region of Valencia from today Monday 18 May. The University of Alicante has gathered all the information related to the de-escalation plan in the Medical Service website, in the Information and Training section, under the COVID-19 heading.
An internal communication has been sent to all staff members to explain in detail the measures required to ensure a risk-free incorporation. To this end, attendance has been limited to a maximum, which must be requested in advance for study by the Medical Service, after completing a form. As of this morning, individual protection equipment is being distributed, and PPE has been made available at the information desks of the on-campus buildings, and a social safety distance of at least two metres is required. The Medical Service, assigned to the Campus Facilities and Technology Office, emphasises that these measures must be taken into account, individually, which are obligatory and therefore appeal to everyone’s sense of responsibility.
