The University of Alicante sympathizes with Almería and supports the Spanish production model of fruits and vegetables

The UA President, Ignacio Jiménez Raneda, has been this morning at the University of Almeria to participate in the Campaign for Supporting the Spanish fruit and vegetable production model announced by the University of Almeria's President, Pedro Molina.
Following the events that have taken place in recent weeks and which have seriously affected the Spanish horticultural sector causing severe economic losses and untold damage to its image, the University of Almería has taken the initiative to hold a "Manifesto of the Scientific Community to support the Spanish fruit and vegetable production model", which has been signed by the University of Alicante and whose public presentation will take place this morning in the Auditorium of the University of Almería.
The Manifesto has already been supported by all Spanish universities, the International Excellence Campus on Agri-Food ceiA3, the CSIC, other Public Research Organizations, Institutes and Research Centres, Science and Technology Parks, Scientific Societies, Foundations, Professionals Associations and other agents of knowledge, which all together include more than 1,000 research teams developing R + D + i in food and agriculture in Spain.
