The Spanish scholar David Johnston speaks at the UA on Irish literature, audiovisual translation and translation theory

David Johnston, Spanish scholar, translator and professor of theatre translation at Queen's University of Belfast, visits the University of Alicante where, organized by the Department of English Studies, will deliver three lectures on Tuesday, 27th and Wednesday, 28th March. The first of them, on Irish Literature -in English- is especially geared toward students of English Studies. The other two lectures, on Audiovisual Translation and Translation Theory -in Spanish- are designed especially for students of Translation.
The lectures programme begins with "Irish Literature", on Tuesday, 27th March, from 1 pm to 3 pm, at the Aifos Hall (Building III of Arts), "Audiovisual Translation", from 5 pm to 7 pm, at the Assembly Hall (Building of Geography). He will end with "Theory of Translation" on Wednesday, 28th March, from 5 pm to 7 pm, at the Assembly Hall (Building of Geography.
