The UA celebrates the 1st Virtual Conference on Pharmacology Teaching
Alicante, 25th November 2011
The conference will take place from 28th November to 2nd December
The University of Alicante's Area of 200B Pharmacology opens next Monday November 28, the I Iberoamerican Congress on the Teaching of Pharmacology, entirely virtual and some unique elements, as they say its organizers (FARMAGITE group: group-Educational Technological Innovation Area of %u200B%u200BPharmacology, UA).
Juan Formigós, Lecturer at the Department of Optics, Pharmacology and Anatomy and Director of the Conference, said: "This virtual meeting aims at presenting and sharing teaching experiences in the teaching of Pharmacology, making the UA a permanent meeting place for Spanish-speaking teachers in this area and contributing to its internationalization strategy".
The structure of the conference is divided into four rooms for scientific content and a social area. In the virtual rooms, the speakers will present their papers, divided into four areas: "New strategies for knowledge transfer", "Innovation in the practical content of Pharmacology", "Cooperative, international, alternative experiences, and their interaction with other institutions outside the university" and " Computers and new technologies for the teaching of Pharmacology".
The meeting will have a social area available, designed to make the interaction of the speakers at the conference easier. It will be provided by a chat, a discussion forum, a small room to share problems and a blog for opinion and reflection. Formigós says that "in on-site conferences, there is a corridor that you meet people and hold informal talks. As in virtual conferences there is not a physical corridos, we have created a social area".
The Conference has been recognized by the UA Education Sciences Institute (ESI) with 32 learning hours.
