A participation success in the Forum on Transfer and Innovation Processes of La Marina Baixa, at the University Venue La Nucía

In order to combine efforts and to promote multilateral cooperation between universities, businesses, municipalities and Government, the University Venue in La Nucia, yesterday welcomed the Forum on Transfer and Innovation Processes in La Marina Baixa.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Regional Councillor for Education, José Ciscar, General-Director for Universities, José Miguel Saval, the University Presidents of Alicante, Miguel Hernández of Elche and Cardenal Herrera-CEU, the UA Vice President for Research, Development and Innovation and the Vice President for Institutional Relations, Manuel Palomar and Aránzazu Calzada respectively, the Academic Director of the Alicante Science Park, Balbino Mancheño, the mayor of 18 municipalities in La Marina Baixa, the Presidents of the Social Council of the UA and UMH as well as businessmen and representatives of business groups such as HOSBEC, Jeturbe, AECNU or APTUR.
The Forum had a high turnout, with 173 participants who attended the various lectures and participated in parallel workshops presenting the research areas of the University of Alicante, Miguel Hernandez University and University Cardenal Herrera-CEU applied to the different sectors of the region. These workshops addressed topics such as Information Communication Technology, Agriculture Food and Fisheries, Construction and Urban Planning, Tourism Management and the Environment and Multilingual Global Industries and Services.
