The Women's Studies Centre at the UA, selected to participate in the European Project "The unlearned lessons"
The Women's Studies Centre (WSC) will recover from invisibility pioneer women in gender equality processes

The Women's Studies Centre (WSC) has been selected to participate in a GRUNDTVIG Project of the European Commission in the modality of learning associations , with the project "The unlearned lessons".
The project, with a duration of two years, has as its main objective to rescue historic invisibility of influencial women in the societies from 18thC to 20th C who, despite their effort, did not received any recognition and have been left forgotten.
It is so intended to remember these women's effort and influence inthe society of each participating country who were not recognised by history.
As the WSC Director, Nieves Montesinos, states, "the main objetctives are to promote transnational understanding of these pioneer women at that time, who were committed with gender equality and equal opportunitie".
In tis project promoted by the University of Ulm (Germany) jointly with the University of Alicante, also institutions from Lodz (Poland), Austria and Italy participate.
European Commission's Grundtvig Projects constitute a framework for coopertion activities among active organizations in the field of adult education. In Spain, it is coordinated by the Spanish Agency for European Educational Programmes (OAPEE).
