The International Society for Optics & Photonics selects a lecturer at the University of Alicante

The International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE) has appointed the lecturer at the University of Alicante Augusto Beléndez as a senior Member in recognition of his experience and professional achievement in the field of optics and photonics, and in particular his contributions in the field of holographic recording materials.
Founded in 1955, the SPIE is an international non-profit organization based in Bellingham, USA, positioned as one of the leading scientific societies for the diffusion and dissemination of advances in Optics and Photonics. The company has several reference publications in this field, such as Optical Engineering, Journal of Biomedical Optics, Journal of Electronic Imaging, Journal of Micro / Nanolitography, or the electronic version SPIE Digital Library.
Augusto Beléndez is Professor of Applied Physics, the Head of the Research Group on Holography and Optical Processing and the Director of the University Institute of Physics Applied to Sciences and Technologies, and he was also appointed as a senior member of the Optical Society of America (OSA) in May.
Beléndez's appointment as a senior member means the distinction of his career, as well as his services offered to the international optics community.
