The network “Narrating Africa in Spanish” belongs to the research project “African Literatures in Spanish. Literary Mediation and Poetic Hospitality since the 90s”, funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitivity of the Spanish Government.
With this AC (Additional Grant) we seek to create a research network and a fluid exchange agenda between researchers, which contemplates the setting up of a “net of networks” among the most solid and renowned research groups in African Studies and Multicultural Studies.
The proposed aims can be summarized along the following lines, detailed below:
To create a web page as a complement to the site "African Library" of the Virtual Library Miguel de Cervantes, which will act as a platform of dissemination of relevant resources regarding Hispanic-African Literatures and African Literary Studies in Europe.
To establish a permanent exchange agenda between the most renowned research groups in African Studies.
To create a natural point of convergence which gathers the most relevant and pioneer scientific production in electronic format: bibliographic and methodological resources, Call for Papers, research lines, research databases…
To gather pedagogical and didactic material destined as an educational resource for those teachers and professionals who would like to incorporate Africanist themes in an educational context of growing multiculturalism.
