Cristina Cachero Castro
Cristina Cachero is Associate professor at the University of Alicante, where she teaches different courses in the areas of Programming and Software Engineering. Her research topics revolve around the are of Empirical Software Engineering. In this line, she has carried out several evaluations of software engineering techniques, methods and notations in the context of Requirements Engineering, Model Driven Engineering and User Centered Development.
She has been awarded several fellowships to support her research work; particularly, she has been a visiting researchers at the Politecnico de Milano (Italy), at the Gent University (Belgium), at the Université de Montréal (Canada) and at the Universidad de la Frontera (Chile). She is co-author of several articles in well-known journals -IEEE Multimedia, Journal of Systems and Software (JSS), Journal of Web Engineering (JWE), Empirical Software Engineering (ESE), Information and Software Technology(IST), International Journal on Intelligent Systems (IJIS), etc.- and conferences of impact in her research area -DEXA, WISE, ER, EC-Web, ICWE, CAISE, etc.
She regularly serves in the PC of conferences and workshops in her area of expertise, and she has also acted as invited reviewer in international journals. She has been guest editor of some special issues in well-known journals such as JSS or JWE, and she has co-organized several workshops in international conferences such as WTA (SAC 2005), IWWUA (WISE 2008 and WISE 2009) and QWE (ICWE 2010 and ICWE 2011).
Santiago Meliá Beigbeder
Santiago Meliá is associate Profesor at the Department of Languages and Information Systems at the University of Alicante, where he is Teacher of a post-graduate Master’s degree in Software Development and Web Services. His research interest includes Model-Driven Development, Web Engineering Methodologies, Automatic Code Generation Techniques and Web Software Architecture, all of them are part of his Ph.D. received at the University of Alicante in 2007. In the last years has focused on the empirical software engineering applied to the area of the model-driven for refuting his promises of improvement in productivity, maintainability and satisfaction in the software development.
He has published in prestigious journals such as (IEEE Internet Computing, Journal of Systems and Software, Information Systems Frontiers, European Journal of Information Systems, Information Software Technology, Journal of Web Engineering, etc.) and conferences (OOPSLA, WISE, ER, EC-Web, ICWE, CADUI, etc.). He regularly serves in the PC of several international conferences (WWW, ICWE, JISBD) and he has co-organized during three years the international workshop MDWE (2011, 2012 and 2013).
Finally, It is important to hightlight that he has coordinated and participated in several industrial research projects in which it has been able to apply the latest techniques of software engineering to develop applications for companies like Ambulancias Ayuda S.L.U, INASE, Patronato de Turismo de la diputación de Alicante, Smartloto S.L, SUMA Gestión Tributaria, etc.
Sergio Luján Mora
SSergio Luján Mora is a senior lecturer of the Department of Software and Computing Systems at the University of Alicante in Spain. He earned his PhD in Computer Engineering at the University of Alicante in 2005 with a doctoral thesis about data warehouse modelling with UML. He has been a post-doctoral researcher in the USA and Ecuador.
He has developed and implemented web applications since 1997 and has taught how to do it at the university since 1999. His main research topics include web application development, web accessibility and usability, e-learning, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) and Open Educational Resources (OER).
He has published several research papers at various conferences (ER, UML, DOLAP) and high-impact journals (DKE, JCS, JDBM, JIS, JUCS and UAIS), both nationally and internationally. He has also published several books related to programming and web development, and data structure programming and C++ language.
He has taught the courses "Compilers", "Programming and Data Structures", "Internet Programming", "Hypermedia Programming 1" and "XML" at the University of Alicante. He has also taught several courses in web programming, web application development and web usability and accessibility, both in Spain and in other countries, such as Algeria, Cuba, Ecuador, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Moldova, Peru, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.
María Dolores de Juan Vigaray
Maig De-Juan-Vigaray és Professora Titular de Comercialització i Recerca de Mercats de la Universitat d'Alacant i doctora en Ciències Econòmiques per la Universitat Miguel Hernández (Elx, Alacant). Ha impartit diversos cursos de postgrau en Universitats europees i americanes i ha sigut col·laboradora com a docent en la University of Florida (EE.UU) i en el Southampton Institute (Anglaterra), així com en diversos Masters i Escoles de Negocis espanyoles (ESADE, Barcelona; ESIC, Madrid; UCAM, Múrcia). Actualment comparteix la seua docència entre la Universitat d'Alacant i el IESEG School of Management de la Université Catholique de Lille, amb seus en Lille i París (França).
La Dra De Juan ha publicat articles sobre retailing i comportament del consumidor en diversos Journals internacionals incloent el Journal of the Academy of Màrqueting Science, Journal of Consumer Psychology Journal of Tourism Management.. És autora dels llibres “Comercialització i Retailing: Distribució Comercial Aplicada”, “La Promoció de Vendes: Eina Clau del Màrqueting Mix”, “Valors i estils de vida dels consumidors. Com entendre'ls i mesurar-los” i "L'Atracció que Exerceixen els Centres Comercials sobre els Consumidors"; així com de diversos articles sobre Retailing.
Ha complementat aquesta labor sent tutora del Programa de Formació “Leonardo da Vinci” de la Facultat de CCEE i EE de la Universitat d'Alacant i en l'actualitat és tutora del Pla d'Acció Tutorial de la UA que ofereix atenció personalitzada en la carrera acadèmica als estudiants que voluntàriament ho sol·liciten. Finalment, la Dra. De-Juan-Vigaray és la directora del grup de Recerca I+Do+i (Recerca Docència i Innovació), multidisciplinària, interessada en projectes relacionats amb la docència.
Jose Servando Chinchón Yepes
José Servando Chinchón Yepes has a Phd. in Geological Sciences received at the University of Barcelona, graduate in Gemology at the University of Barcelona and Supervisor of Radioactive Technicians at the Council of Nuclear Security.
It has been Titled Upper Specialised of the CSIC, Researcher in the Polytechnical University of Catalonia and at present is Chair of University of the Department of Architectural Constructions and member of the University Institute of the Water and the Environmental Sciences of the University of Alicante.
It has participated as director or as researcher, in 25 projects of public finance related with the characterisation, control of quality and durability of the materials of construction. Also it has participated in other so many projects, of special importance, funded by companies and private organisms.
It has published the result of his investigations in well-known scientific magazines of Materials of Construction as for example the Cement and Concretise Research in where it is author of 13 articles. As result of his activity research, he has the positive evaluation of five periods of 6 years of research.
