The CIMAR is fully equipped with facilities for research purposes, such as laboratories; for the teaching activities, with its practice classroom; and for the development of cultural activities, with the conference and the exhibition halls. Also, the centre is endowed with the necessary infrastructure for the work at the sea and to receive long stays in the centre. It also owns a sismic station within the Spanish National Seismic Network.
Research and lab practices
The research labs are endowed of infrastructure for the studies in Oceanography and Marine Biology.
The laboratory for teaching practices is endowed with infrastructure for the performance of practicals in the observation of marine and coastal organisms, study of the water column and sediments, geology, etc.
Exhibitions Hall
It features two rooms, and is conceived like a didactic space-cultural of clear social and cultural projection, and directed to know and spread the marine environment and coastal. Also, it will be able to receive samples and exhibitions related with the aims of the CIMAR, organised by the City council of Santa Pola, the Alicante University, or in collaboration with other organisms, public or private institutions, without yielding purpose.
Conference Hall
The Conference Hall has audiovisual material for the performance of theoretical classes, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc., with a capacity of 75 seats.
Rest Area
It is made up by a kitchen and two rooms, and ready to accommodate lecturers, researchers and students (maximum number: 16) for stays longer than one day, needing overnight in the centre.
