The Research Marine Centre (CIMAR) is dependent on the town of Santa Pola and the Office of the UA Vice President for Research, Development and Innovation and is led by an academic coordinator.
A senior technician is responsible for ts research, teaching and management activities, who provides his services and develops his training in the Center under the supervision of the academic Coordinator. In addition, the Centre has a degree as an environmental education instructor, for the development of this area.
The CIMAR can receive support and teaching collaboration of all Departments, University institutes and research groups at the University of Alicante which propose action lines and responsibles for the different lines of research. Likewise, CIMAR serves as a center of activity for researchers from other centers and universities carrying out research work related to the marine environment and its surroundings, and any matter that may be developed at the Center.
