The research group communication and knowledge society of the University of Alicante was created in 2003 in order to analyze the structural, cultural, social and technological changes that affect and are affected by collective communication in the information society. It is a multidisciplinary group composed of a core of permanent researchers from communication (Marta Martin Llaguno, Alejandra Hernández Ruiz, Mar Iglesias), sociology (Sonia Lopez and Cristina Guirao), economy (Maria Dolores Juan) and the Health Sciences (Iciar Martin) and a group of collaborating researchers from fields like psychology of health (Beléndez Marina), the public opinion (Esteban López Escobar), public health (Maria Teresa Ruiz Cantero, Carlos Alvarez-Dardet or Carmen Vives) and commercial communications (Teresa Riccitellii or Federico Rey Lennon). Inter-University and global vocation brings together people of diverse institutions (AU, UCAM, UNAV) Spanish and Latin (UCA). The main intention of this group is applied research, it counts on consultants from different professional areas and has worked for professional institutions such as the AEAP (Association Spanish of advertising agencies), the AAAP (Association Argentina of advertising agencies), AEFJ (the Association Spanish of agencies of toys) and the SESPAS (Spanish society of public health and health administration).
