DAI Lab UI (iOS) is a mobile application to control DAI Lab from Apple ® devices. This application uses visual elements to interact with the laboratory of the DAI group. The user interface consists of a 3D representation of the house through which different aspects can be controlled such as lighting, climate, blinds, TV, etc. In particular, this interface allows to interact with devices intuitively, touching their virtual representation on the screen. Due to the simplicity in the use, this interface can be used by the elderly or persons with some kind of disability that have not be considered in the use of TICC.
Given that the most natural way of navigating to a location is sequential, DAI Lab UI (iOS) uses a multilevel interface which consists of the following levels:
Global navigation level: through a view of the floor of the house, the possibility to situate ourselves quickly in any room of the house is offered.
Local navigation level: within any room, the possibility of sequential navigation on any room is offered.
Level of manipulation of device: a drop-down menu is displayed when pressing on the device with which you want to interact.
This interface allows you to navigate around the different rooms of a building, allowing you to interact with each of the devices installed there. Below three videos as shown as examples of use of the interface, where you can see how multiple devices are controlled.
