Since the creation of La Alcudia University Foundation for Archaeological Research, the site has become a space for practical archaeology, linked to the University of Alicante and open to each and every archaeology student nationwide and internationally.
La Alcudia Foundation welcomes undergraduate students (in History, Humanities, Tourism, Art, etc.) from Spanish universities during the academic year to carry out their curricular work placements.
Taking advantage of the workspaces offered by the Foundation, such as its archaeology laboratory, storerooms, museum, interpretation centre and the archaeological site itself, students can expand their training and approach the daily work of their technicians: research, dissemination and heritage conservation.
Internships of the Master of Professional Archeology
The Foundation’s Archaeology and Cataloguing Areas started collaborations some years ago. They are attended by students and graduates in History and Humanities, as well as in other related disciplines, which make up a permanent collaboration group under the name of Ilici UPA.
