What is the European supplement to the degree (SET), how and when it is requested?
The expedition of the European supplement to the title (SET) is one of the measures set out with the introduction of the European area of higher education.
The SET can apply for students who completed official university studies (Degrees, diplomas, Bachelor's degree, etc.). Can be requested along with the issuance of the title in the Secretariat of the Centre (school/college) where studies have been completed.
The SET is the document that accompanies each of the degrees of official status and validity throughout the national territory, with information unified, personalized for each University, entitled on the education, the results obtained, acquired professional skills and the level of their qualification in the national system of higher education.
The SET aims to increase the transparency of the various higher education qualifications taught in European countries and facilitate their academic and professional recognition.
The SET offers the student:
A title more understandable and easily comparable abroad
An exact description of the higher education and the skills acquired during the study period
Objectivity and fair trial of their achievements and competencies
Easier access to work or further education abroad opportunities
An improvement of the employability
Content of the SET
(a) the student data.
(b) the qualification information.
(c) information on the level of the qualification.
(d) information on the content and the results obtained.
(e) information on the role of the qualification.

(g) certification of the supplement.
(h) information on the national system of higher education.
The SET format
The paper support of the European supplements that are issued shall be of identical size for all standardized in format UNE A - 4 (security role model).
SET document issued by the University of Alicante will include the coat of arms of Spain, the logo of the European Union (EU) and Europass, and the coat of arms of the University of Alicante.
The University of Alicante shall issue a document SET, expressed in the two official languages of the autonomous community of Valencia (Spanish and Valencian) and English language. It will be, therefore, a trilingual document in all respects.
