The ERASMUS Programme is the most well-known for university students to stay at a European university, either for a semester or the full academic year. All Spanish universities participate in the ERASMUS Programme.
The University of Alicante also offers a Non-European Mobiltiy Programme through which UA students can study at universities in non-European countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, the United States, Mexico and Russia) with an agreement with us.
The Santander-IberoAmerica Scholarship allows UA students to perform stays in Ibero-American universities for a semester. Five €3,000 scholarships are awarded
Common features of international mobility programmes:
The administrative procedures, coordination and information on open calls on these programmes are managed from the Monility Office;
Students' building (Building 21. UA map)
Other than these programmes, we also manage training programmes and work placements for students and graduates. The most popular is the "AITANA Programme (European work placements for students and graduates)" (Erasmus+)
Also, work placements abroad are possible through the Faro and Argo Programmes, among others.)
All University of Alicante students are eligible to participate in the European exchange programme with the option of taking part of their studies (a semester or a full year ) in a European university with which their centre, faculty or college has signed an exchange agreement. The courses taken at the host university shall be recognised by the University of Alicante considering what the learning agreement signed by both universities states.
