Establishing University Venues within the province of Alicante is one of the ways the UA complies with this obligation. There, the University of Alicante organises courses, sessions, skills training, and academic and cultural information activities.
Most frequently, University Venues are located in emblematic buildings whose use is authorised by town halls.
Courses, sessions, and cultural activities for anybody interested are organised throughout the year. An effort is made to organise activities related to the towns' socio-economic and cultural contexts. The University of Alicante collaborates with towns and their socio-economic fabrics in order to carry out activities.
Each university venue has an academic coordinator, and support administration staff. The University Venues Coordinating Centre(Germán Bernácer Building. Tel.: (+34) 965909323. firstname.lastname@example.org) is responsible for helping and centralising the administrative and academic management of each centre.
Due to its unique nature, a special mention should me made to the Alicante City University Venue, a neoclassical mansion and former Business School venue, located in 4 Ramón y Cajal Avenue.
At the Alicante City University Venue, many skills training, culture and academic activities are organised throughout the year. This Venue has turned into one the most important cultural dissemination centres.
In 2015, the University of Alicante opened a new university venue in Alicante, located in 40 San Fernando Building, that was ceded by Banco Sabadell. Besides carrying out academic and cultural activities, Spanish courses, information sessions, the new venue has a study room and library.
