Students applying for a place through pre-registration procedures may be left on the waiting list if they are not admitted into the degree they applied for as a first option.
Students must be aware of the date established for vacancy allocation, which will be chosen after the registration period for admitted students is closed.
Changes in the waiting list can be tracked through the UA pre-registration website. Wait-listed students must then check whether a sufficient number of places have been waivered for a vacancy to be available for them and, if so, the place will be held only for the day, and the registration process must be completed within the next 24 hours.
If a student does not obtain a place on this day, (s)he can send his/her on-line confirmation of waiting list application the next day. From this moment onwards, if there is another vacancy, the concerned centre will call students in the waiting list to offer them a place. Centres may offer vacancies until the end of September.
Some universities follow other procedures different from this to allocate spots for wait-listed students. Some universities gather all wait-listed students on a certain date and at a specific time, while other universities publish updated lists of admitted students.
It is recommended that students make sure they know the procedures used by the university they wish to enter.
It is done through a web application which is available only for the day of confirmations on the registration website.
The corresponding secretary's office of each centre will range these confirmations by admission mark and contact the students in the event of additional places being available.
Those who do not submit their waiting list confirmation will lose their chance of getting a place.
Centres may offer vacancies until the end of September.
Obtaining a place through the waiting list is generally possible until the end of September, as long as students have submitted the waiting list confirmation.
Waiting lists do not remain valid the next academic year. If a student wishes to get a place on a certain degree one year after having been on the waiting list, (s)he will have to go through the pre-registration procedure again, just as the rest of students.
