The strategic reflection tackles the current situation in 2013 and the elements that provides to the analysis DAFO: the weaknesses, threats, fortresses and opportunities of the UA in 2013. Have to pose us a fundamental question: ¿How reach the Vision of the University of Alicante for 2019? The answer to this question turns around the Strategic Planning.
The Strategic Planning describes in detail in the strategic actions of Plan and by reason of feasibility the actions organise in Strategic Axes, although in many of the strategic actions that constitute them surfaces with strength a high level of transversalidad.
Axes in that it has organised the Plan:
1. Axis of Training
The field of this axis concentrates the Studies and the Academic Ordination. It does necessary, to provide a wide formative offer and that improve the empleabilidad of the alumnado and his labour insertion, the offer of double institutional degrees (inside the UA), that besides allow to take advantage of synergies between degrees already implanted in the UA . On the other hand, it is increasingly interesting the creation of double degrees so much national like international with universities of prestige, especially under the umbrella of European programs, as well as with other universities of other continents, that increase besides the mobility of students, profesorado and PAS and promote educational networks and of investigation between the universities.
The training of the PDI and of the PAS is definitely an indispensable tool to improve the execution of all the tasks that have entrusted the UA. On the other hand, it facilitates the personal development and professional of the profesorado and of the personnel of administration and services, jointly with the satisfaction of the same in relation with his functions to develop. It does necessary unify criteria and efforts that allow a coherent offer, sustainable and current that satisfy the needs of the two communities.
2. Axis of Investigation and Innovation
The field of this axis is the Investigation, Transfer and Innovation. Strategically the investigation is one of the big functions of the university, so much to generate knowledge as to transfer it, and convert to the investigation in the engine of the social and economic progress.
Especially it tackles a first area regarding the gestión, promotion and divulging of the investigation realised in the breast of the university, so much in his competent structures for this (groups, departments and institutes of investigation), as in the mixed units of investigation and in the scientific stations of the UA. The second big area of competition of this field is the gestión and promotion of the transfer of the knowledge through agreements with companies, that commission projects of investigation or use the services of investigation, as well as the study, gestión and promotion of the business initiatives that develop the results of the investigation realised inside the university until the creation of EBTs.
3. Axis of Communities
The university is first of all the reflection of the work and the dedication of the people that compose it. Thus, it is necessary to fix strategies to follow building and improving day in day out our university with the participation and implication of all the communities: alumnado, profesorado and personnel of administration and services.
The University of Alicante has to be a space for the knowledge, but also a space for the convivencia, by what have to develop programs and suitable strategies for the academic and professional development, but always taking into account the conditions of work and the needs of the people that constitute it, this last is the field of the axis of communities.

In the last years the entrepreneurship in Spain has had an exponential growth, giving place to an ecosystem that includes at present an extensive map and very diversified of actors. The upper education has a notable paper and is an area that contributes to the achievement of a greater utility of the and the graduates, a factor that given the situation macroeconomic current, is of big importance for the universities. The province of Alicante characterises by a business fabric of small and medium enterprises. Boost the entrepreneurshipis coherent with the vocation to the social surroundings of the UA and constitutes like axis of strategic of the Plan.
