If we had to choose a set of keywords to define today's society, without doubt the term information would be one of the most representative. We live in a world characterized by a continuous flow of information in which the technologies of information and communication (technology ICT) and Social networks play an important role. In the Information society are generated large amount of data in digital format, being the main objective of what we know as Security of informationprotection against unauthorized use and access them.
It cryptology is a basic technological tool, dedicated to the development and analysis of systems and protocols that ensure the security of the data, the spectrum of technologies involved in the protection of the information is broad and encompasses different disciplines. One of the characteristics of this science is its rapid and constant evolution, motivated in part by continued progress occurring in the field of computing, especially in recent decades. Systems, protocols, and tools in general considered insurance today will be it in a more or less near future, which is essential to the development of new tools that ensure, efficiently, the necessary levels of security.
The Spanish meeting on information security and cryptology (RECSI) is the Spanish scientific Congress of reference in the field of cryptology and security in ICT, in which the leading Spanish researchers gather regularly and of other nationalities in this discipline, in order to share the most recent results of their research. The thirteenth edition in the city of Alicante, organized by the Group of cryptology and computer security at the University of Alicante will be held from 2 to 5 September 2014. Previous editions took place in Palma de Mallorca (1991), Madrid (1992), Barcelona (1994), Valladolid (1996), Torremolinos (1998), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (2000), Oviedo (2002), Leganés (2004), Barcelona (2006), Salamanca (2008), Tarragona (2010) and San Sebastián (2012).
