The 'Faculty of Sciences of the Health' and the association 'Fontilles Health + Development' have organised two activities with reason of the 'World-wide Day against the Leprosy', that celebrates the last Sunday of January. From the frame of 'Healthy University' want to, also, help to sensitise on the existence of this illness and move away the negative image that had of the affected: 'they Suffice two tablets to the day to cure the leprosy, the difficult is to detect it'. Thus we extend the invitation to:
- Visit the photographic exhibition 'Fontilles: Science and social commitment', sample of photographies of the day in day out in the Sanatorium of Fontilles (Alicante), realised by Magnet Dris (Dietista-Nutricionista by the University of Alicante). This sample will be opened from 26 January to 1 February 2017 in the Hall of the Faculty of Sciences of the Health. It will be Inaugurated the day 26 to the 12 h by D. José Antonio Hurtado Sánchez, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences of the Health.
- Assist to the Conference 'Fontilles, last leprosarium of Europe. Basic clinical characteristics of the Leprosy' that will give D. José Ramón Gómez Echevarría, Medical Director Leprosy of the Sanatorium of Fontilles. It will be it moderates by D. Josep Bernabeu Mestre, Director of the Department of Community Infirmary, Preventive Medicine, Public Health and History of the Science. It will celebrate the next day 1 February 2017 to the 13 h in the Living room of Degrees of the Faculty of Sciences of the Health.
