Seminar Women in Latin-American literature and cultural identity
Dates
October, 5th and 6th 2006.
Objectives
The objective of this seminar is to make an approach to the Hispano-American literature and culture, especially of the 20th century. This will be carried out by analyzing fiction works and the historical and cultural route of the Contemporary period, from Modernism to the recent days. Special attention will be paid to literary movements of this period to focus on specific literary works as a product of their context, especially the "Women's Boom" in the Hispano-American literature and culture.
Professors, researchers and experts in this field and Hispano-American woman storytellers of the last decades will accompany us.
