La ciudad protohistórica de Herna / Peña Negra: tartesios y fenicios en el sureste de Iberia

General information

La Peña Negra (Crevillent, Alicante) was one of the most important protohistoric settlements of the Iberian Peninsula, possibly the city of Herna located in the northoriental outskirts of Tartessus. The course is designed with the intention of offering a general view of the investigations run on the site, put into the context of the group of societies at the end of the Bronze Age, the Tarshish and Phoenician world and the oriental Mediterranean societies.

  • Sign-up requirements: university students, archaeology, history and heritage professionals, and any audience interested in archaeology and dissemination of heritage as well as any person interested. 
  • Diploma or certificate requirements: 80% class attendance and individual summary of each of the conferences and personal opinions on the topics discussed.
