The University of Alicante launches the Summer Course “Technology Watch: strategies and tools to innovate”, as part of "Rafael Altamira 2015 Summer Courses”.
The course is coordinated by the Virtual Observatory for Technology Transfer (OVTT ) and it is taking place from 7th to the 10th of July in the Campus of the University of Alicante (Spain).
The contents are organized in three thematic blocks with a strong practical nature, plus a specialized workshop in how technology watch can help to differentiate in R&D projects, within the Horizon 2020. This workshop is dedicated to the health sector and well-being, but feasible to be replicated for all sectors of activity.
The University of Alicante will present on May 28th,10:00 p.m., at the headquarters of the University of Alicante in San Fernando 40, the InnoUA program's approach to business. An institutional program that was created with the aim of strengthening the communication between the business world and the University to generate a mutual enrichment.
The event will count with the presence of Mr. Francisco Sanz Caballero, Chief Economist and head of the division of industrial policy of the DG internal market, industry, entrepreneurship and SMEs the Commission European, that in his presentation will discuss "Industrial policy and Regional Development".
During the presentation, new actions will be announced to be developed within the InnoUA programme. These actions are intended to strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technology generated at the University of Alicante to the productive fabric, stressing the plan of approach and company visits planned for 2015, together with other initiatives such as the new Portal of technological offer, the technology newsletter, a new Industrial doctorate, aid for concept testing, etc.
"The main mistake of the entrepreneur, not undertake"
The Conference will review the most common mistakes made by entrepreneurs and how to overcome them. In addition the art of "doing science" will be analyze, its application and how to explain to society the value of the solutions obtained to regain lost credibility. The Foundation Repsol will present their current offers for all those who have an innovative idea, wanting to take the risk and reach the market.
